Houston County Sheriff’s deputies recently arrested a 53-year-old man on felony charges for allegedly causing over $10,000 in property damages by using a front end loader to push a vehicle into a local apartment building during a domestic dispute.
Court records show sheriff’s investigators arrested Luther Joel Smith, of Wicksburg Road, and charged him with felony second-degree domestic violence and felony first-degree criminal mischief.
Investigators charged him with felony criminal mischief for allegedly causing $10,000 in property damages to an apartment building on Judge Logue Road on Wednesday.
Records also show investigators charged Smith with felony domestic violence for allegedly using a front end loader to push a woman’s 2012 Ford Focus through the side of the apartment building.
Smith was taken to the Houston County Jail and held on bail totaling $60,000.
