Two Florida residents were arrested Wednesday, June 5 after law enforcement say they burglarized an unoccupied dwelling in Jackson County, Florida.

Tillman James McCroan, 35, and Dayna Pumphrey, 31, are charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana.

Investigators say on June 5 at about 5:20 p.m., Rickey Martin arrived to check on a family residence on Reddoch Road. Upon arrival, he observed a male and female walking from the residence. The suspects then walked into a wooded area. As Martin walked toward the home he discovered a suspicious car and the back door of the residence forced open.

Deputies asked for assistance from the Department of Corrections canine tracking unit. The tracking unit arrived at the scene and located the suspects in a wooded area within a short distance from the residence.
