The suspect in a Troy shooting that left two men suffering from minor injuries has been arrested.
Alex Ladarius White, 26, of Troy, was arrested Monday, June 10, and charged with attempted murder.
Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said White and a 22-year-old male victim were involved in a previous verbal altercation before the shooting took place in the 100 block of U.S. 231 North.
The 22-year-old victim was struck multiple times in the lower leg after several rounds were fired into the vehicle he was sitting in, Barr said. The first victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. A second victim was a 23-year-old male, who was grazed by a bullet across his stomach during the shooting. The 23-year-old victim received minor injuries, and did not seek immediate medical treatment.
“Information in this case is limited at this time,” Barr said. “The case is still under investigation.”
White is currently in the Pike County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
The Troy Police Department is being assisted in the investigation by the Pike County District Attorney’s Office.
