Police continue to look for a man investigators believe is responsible for a Sunday evening shooting in Dothan that claimed the life of a local man.
Akheem Hall, 27, of Dothan, was killed Sunday after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, according to Dothan Police.
Dothan Police Lt. Lynn Watkins said investigators are searching for 23-year-old Tayshawn Stevenson, of Dothan, in connection with the shooting. Stevenson is described as a black male, approximately 6’ tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds.
Police responded to a firearm assault call Sunday at 9:19 p.m., in the 100 block of Naomi Drive.
“Once officers arrived on scene, the victim was located, deceased in the yard,” Watkins said. “Hall suffered two gunshot wounds; one wound to the upper back area and one wound to forearm.
Less than 30 minutes later, a call came through dispatch stating an assault with moderate injuries occurred in the same block of Naomi Drive.
According to Watkins, police believe both calls are related.
