A traffic stop for a tag violation resulted in an arrest for possession of stolen property.
Justin Parker Wilson, 19, of Cowarts was charged Friday, Jan. 25, with possession of stolen property.
During the traffic stop, police determined Wilson had a stolen tool box and tools in his possession with a value of $1,700.
“During the interview Wilson stated to law enforcement he was holding the tools and tool box for a friend,” Dothan Police Lt. Lynn Watkins said.
Court records show Wilson was out of jail on bond for two unrelated charges when he was arrested Jan. 25. Court documents show Wilson was arrested Jan. 17, and charged with possession/receiving a controlled substance and possession of a forged instrument.
Wilson is currently out of jail on a $2,500 bond.
