Police say a woman forced her way into a residence in the 1200 block of East Lafayette Street Monday, and stole a dog before fleeing the scene.
Crystal Fulford of Dothan was arrested and is charged with third-degree burglary.
“During the investigation it was determined on June 30, Ms. Fulford forced her way into a residence located on East Lafayette Street, and stole a bulldog from the residence before fleeing,” said Dothan Police Lt. Lynn Watkins. “The suspect was identified, and she was located at her grandmother’s home, which is located in the 300 block of Oglethorpe Street. The bulldog was also recovered from the grandmother’s residence.”
The bulldog is valued at $100, Watkins said.
Fulford is currently in the Houston County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
