Minnie Sue Bridges, 93, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 after a brief illness. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2019, at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Brother Ragan Boling officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday in the First United Methodist Church of Dothan Parlor. Mrs. Bridges was born January 30, 1926 in Jefferson County, Alabama the daughter of Arthur Pitts Peeler and Nora Mae Alexander Peeler. She was a Graduate of Phillips High School in Birmingham and worked as a Bookkeeper for several businesses in the city. She earned her LPN Degree while living in Petersburg, VA. Her Life was centered on her family and church family at Fairview United Methodist Church. After her husband's death, she moved to Dothan in 2007 to be near her family. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed Monday Bible Study and Kay Williams Sunday School Class. Mrs. Bridges was known for her sweet personality and her expert cooking skills. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 55 years, G.C. Bridges. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tyrone Parrish of Dothan; grandchildren, Julie Parrish, Frankfort, KY.; Russ Parrish (CJ), Dothan; 5 great-grandchildren, Wilson, Ally, Millie, Townes and Ella Parrish, all of Dothan; nephews, Bill Colley, Julius Paeske and a special first cousin, Betty Jean Mounce. Mrs. Mary Anne Cutlip, a resident of Auburn (formerly of Ozark), died early Thursday morning, December 5, 2019 in a Opelika, Alabama hospital. She was 87. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. John Phillip Duhaime of Enterprise, AL went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at home surrounded by his family, those he loved the most. He was 68. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Slade Stinson and Reverend Jim Duhaime officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends in the chapel at 12:30 p.m. and continue until time of service. Mr. Duhaime was born December 8, 1950 in Fort Bragg, NC to the late First Sergeant John R. Duhaime and Mary Elizabeth Duhaime. He was a long time resident of Dothan, AL after moving there in 1980 to raise his family with his loving wife, Kay. John loved his family, loved people and loved bringing joy to anyone he encountered and loved his church, Lee Street Baptist Church. He eventually made his way back to Enterprise where he and his wife Kay who worked by his side as owners of Wiregrass Floor Covering for five years. He also had a special place in his heart for Auburn football. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Kay Duhaime; son, John Eric Duhaime(Erica); daughter, Emily Hammack (Chris); eight grandchildren: Victoria Duhaime, Paedon Duhaime, Eli Hammack, Evan Hammack, McKenzie Libby, Nicholas Price, Paxton Duhaime and Jessica Bock; two brothers, Ronnie Duhaime (Bennie) and Jimmy Duhaime (Linda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Amelia Hollis Moore of Montgomery, formerly of Dothan, peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 4, 2019. Amelia was born in Dothan and graduated from Dothan High School. She received her undergraduate studies from Breneau University in Gainesville, Georgia, and earned a master's degree from Troy University in Dothan. Through the course of her studies she had the privilege of studying abroad in Heidelberg, Germany and at the University of Hawaii. Amelia was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her family and friends and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as MeMe to her grandchildren. She had a vivacious personality and was full of generosity and love to everyone she knew. Among Amelia's most enjoyable past-times were spending time with friends and family at the beach, salt water fishing, tennis, reading, traveling and caring for her dogs. Her most treasured church family resided at Evergreen Presbyterian in Dothan. Amelia is survived by her son, Randolph Benjamin Moore, IV (Kelli) and grandchildren Caroline Elizabeth Moore and Randolph Benjamin Moore, V; brother, Robert Hayne Hollis, III (Cindy); sister Olga Hollis Hoskin (John); sister, Susan Hollis Reese and her late husband Michael Reese; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved and touched deeply. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hayne Hollis, Jr., and Carolyn Spann Hollis. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 7, at 11:00 am at Evergreen Presbyterian Church with Reverend Doctor Joseph Johnson and Mrs. Karen Dee Koza officiating, preceded by a visitation between 9:45 am to 10:45 am at the church.
