Ms. Arlette Holley Hall, age 90, died Friday, January 17, 2020 in Hartford Health Care. She was born in Crenshaw County, Alabama to her late parents, Sydney Elizabeth Wise Wilson & James Otis Wilson. Ms. Hall is survived by her sons Nick Holley & Martha, Mike Holley, and Rick Holley & Ann; daughter, Linda Holley Jones; and 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Holley; brother, Harold Quinton Wilson; grandchildren, Leah Holley Day and Heather Holley; and great-great grandchild, Blaine Holley. Funeral services for Ms. Arlette Holley Hall will be held at 11 am Monday, January 20, 2020 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Ino Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Bro. Elbert Smith will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Holley, Johnny Holley, Mark Holley, Ben Holley, Kem Holley and Kevin Smith. Mrs. Melba Lene Joiner Capps of Dothan passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at the age of 83. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 P.M. Sunday, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice. Mrs. Capps was born July 22, 1936 to the late Emmett Joiner and Elsie Storey Joiner. She was the youngest of eight children. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband Billy Capps, children Timothy Capps, Beverly Johnson (John), Charlie Capps and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Millie "Jean" Sellers Thomley of Wicksburg went home to be with the LORD Friday, January 17, 2020 at Hartford Health Care. She was 85. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Wicksburg Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tim Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Thomley was born October 5, 1934 in Houston County to the late William and Elvie Peters Sellers. Jean was a great woman of faith and a faithful and beloved member of Wicksburg Assembly of God Church and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, sisters: Ruth Wells, Lessie Owens, Ruby Hinson, and Etha Mae Sanders; brothers: George Sellers, Tal Sellers, and Emmett Sellers; great-grandson, Koda Ellenburg; and a son-in-law Ricky King all preceded her in death.
