Enterprise High School is the top Wiregrass high school in Alabama and among the top 1,350 in the nation, according to a ranking released Tuesday by U.S. News and World Report.

According to the ranking, Enterprise ranks 16th among all Alabama high schools and 1,348 in the nation. 

According to U.S. News and World Report, schools that finished high in the rankings were "those whose attendees demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math and reading state assessments, passed a diverse array of college-level exams and graduated in high proportions."

The report lauded Enterprise for 60 percent participation in Advanced Placement coursework. It listed grades 9-12 enrollment at 2,203 and listed a graduation rate of 93 percent.

The report ranked Loveless Academic Magnet Program High School in Montgomery as No. 1 in Alabama and No. 13 in the nation.

The report ranked 357 schools in Alabama. According to the report, only four were unranked due to having a class size below 15 or not having a senior class. No schools in the Wiregrass were unranked.
