Just a few days ago, Quest Diagnostics reported a data breach that involved 11.9 million patients’ information, and now LabCorp is telling its patients roughly the same thing.
Apparently, no lab results were invaded, but from August 2018 to March of this year, the LabCorp hacker was able to access names, birthdays, addresses, phone numbers, dates of service, account balances, and other information.
The breach also exposed credit card and bank numbers attached to roughly 200,000 accounts, according to reports. The American Medical Collection Agency told LabCorp that it was in the process of notifying the patients that were affected.
