More than 40 vendors gathered at the Dothan Civic Center Sunday for the Dothan Eagle’s 18th Bridal Extravaganza.
The event is the largest bridal show in the area and welcomes a wide variety of vendors under one roof to help brides-to-be with the planning of their special day.
Hundreds of brides and their friends and family attended to visit the many vendors in the area that cater to weddings. Brides also took the bridal show as an opportunity to brainstorm ideas and make those final preparations before the spring wedding season.
“We have the most elite wedding professionals on hand to help plan your wedding from engagement all the way until you say ‘I do,’” said Stephanie Madden, Dothan Eagle marketing manager.
Vendors ranged from photographers, caterers, wedding dress shops, jewelers, beauty supplies and even a plastic surgery office, newcomer Feagin and Owen, which offers peels, waxing, facials and dermal fillers.
This year’s event was sponsored by House of Flowers, AAA Travel and the Dothan Civic Center.
Door prizes were delivered throughout the day and a grand prize drawing for registered couples gave people a chance to win a trip to the Grand Canyon from sponsor AAA Travel.
Fashion shows were also hosted by Admiring Glances, Ronnie’s Men’s & Boys’ Wear and Andrews Bridal Shoppe.
Madden said she was really pleased with the turnout for this year’s event.
“We did a lot of promotion online, and on billboards, radio and TV and of course in print, so I think people have been really excited about the event,” she said.
