Wenonah High defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, who earlier this year committed to Auburn before he reopened his recruitment earlier this month, announced Tuesday morning he will play college football at Alabama.
Williams, a 6-4, 265-pounder, is the fourth defensive lineman in the Crimson Tide’s 2016 recruiting class along with Raekwon Davis, Kendell Jones and Khalid Kareem.
Williams is a three-star prospect and is rated as the No. 33 defensive tackle in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, although he projects as a defensive end for Alabama. He is the Tide’s 17th overall verbal commitment for 2016.
