A day after securing the commitment of one linebacker, Auburn has secured a second for the 2020 recruiting class.
Four-star outside linebacker Cameron Riley from Hillcrest High in Evergreen made his commitment public on Twitter on Saturday.
“First off, I want to thank God for putting me in this position. I would also like to thank my family for always being there and molding me into the young man I am today. I would also like to give a big shout out to my head coach, coach Clinton Smith, and the rest of the coaching staff for putting me in this position I am today. I would also like to thank all of the coaches who gave me an opportunity to play football on the collegiate level,” Riley said in a video posted to his Twitter account.
The 6-foot-3, 207-pound linebacker chose the Tigers from over 30 offers.
Riley is ranked as the No. 23 outside linebacker in the country and the No. 14 overall player from Alabama, according to 247Sports’ composite ranking.
He is the 11th member of Auburn’s 2020 class and joins fellow four-star outside linebacker Trenton Simpson who committed on Friday.
