 Bryce Peavy rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns and Daniel Hicks added 69 yards and two scores as the Purple Cats won on the road 41-14 at No. 3 Thorsby.

Ariton (8-3) will travel to Cottage Hill Christian (10-1) for next week’s playoffs. Cottage Hill beat Goshen 26-0.

Peavy scored on TD runs of 4, 4, 8 and 1 yards, while Hicks had TD runs of 24 and 14 yards. Both players also scored on a two-point conversion.

Defensively, Jackson Blair had eight tackles and a fumble recovery and Hicks had seven tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery.

Daleville 26, Reeltown 21: Daleville held on late to secure the win.

The Warhawks were up 26-14, but gave up a late touchdown. However, Kentayvis Valerie recovered the onsides kick and Daleville earned a first down before milking the clock out.

Jalen White scored on two rushing touchdowns, Akealis “Peanut” Bloodsaw added a rushing score and threw a TD pass to Gage Head.

Defensively, Daleville earned three turnovers – an interception by Gabe Gordon and fumble recoveries by Gabe Elrod and Brian Serrano.

The Warhawks (6-4) advanced to play a second-round game at Leroy next week.

Abbeville 56, Vincent 0: Class 2A Abbeville dominated Vincent, winning 56-0, in Abbeville.

The Yellow Jackets (10-1) advanced to play at home next week against Luverne, a 14-0 winner over Southern Choctaw on Friday.

Daquon Kincey passed for 118 yards off 3-of-6 passes, including 92 yards to Marquise Hollins, and Kincey also rushed for 68 yards, while the Abbeville defense held Vincent to 13 total yards on 46 plays.

Kincey scored on runs of 50 and 14 yards in the first quarter. Hollins caught a 41-yard TD pass from Kincey, Martavious Glanton scored on a 5-yard run and Jaquon Kincey on a 50-yard punt return to help the home Yellow Jackets to a 34-0 halftime lead.

A safety made it 36-0 early in the third quarter and Kincey scored on a 60-yard run and Nathan Hall on a 37-yard run and Keven Mills on a 51 yard to finish the scoring.

Abbeville converted three of the eight two-point conversions, two on runs by Martavious Glanton and one by Demonte Davis.

Cottage Hill Christian 26, Goshen 0: Goshen amassed 173 yard rushing, but couldn’t find the end zone in a loss in Mobile.

The Eagles finished the season 4-7. Cottage Hill advanced to play at Ariton next week.

Bryan Galloway rushed for 89 yards on 17 carries and Tamarcus Shipmon for 53 on 13 carries for Goshen, which had leading rusher Caleb Dawson held to just four yards on five carries. Galloway was 3-of-10 passing for 17 yards.

Defensively, Makel Avery and Dawson had four tackles each, while Avery earning two tackles for loss.

Leroy 42, New Brockton 14: For New Brockton, Kaden Cupp was 11-of-18 passing for 121 yards, including a 37-yard TD pass to Kaden Hood. Drew Simon rushed for 69 yards on 15 carries with a TD and Kyan Horne rushed for 99 yards on 18 carries.

New Brockton finished the season 6-5. Leroy (8-3) advances to play Daleville at home next week.

LaFayette 40, Geneva County 0: The Bulldogs end their season at 6-5.

Defensively for Geneva County, Samuel Adkinson led the way with nine tackles. Jyquan White had six tackles, including two for loss, one sack and one pass break up.

Tyler Reeves had six tackles, two for loss, and Wesley Hughes had six tackles.

Trey Williams had 52 yards rushing on 11 carries and Emmanuel Henderson had two catches for 34 yards.
