BAY MINETTE -- The Wallace Govs have found a new way to keep their winning streak alive.

Against the Coastal Alabama-South Sun Chiefs, the Govs scored six runs in their final at-bat to earn a 10-8 come-from-behind victory. The second game was much more conventional as the Govs won 7-0.

With the sweep, the No. 3 ranked Govs have now won 19 consecutive games and remain in first place in the conference. The Govs are now 20-2 in the ACCC Southern Division, 35-5 overall.

Davis Hare earned the victory in game one. At the plate, Ariton's Ryan Tomlin went 3-for -5 with three RBIs and Northview product Joey Wozniak was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Brandon Dorsey hit a home run, while Luis Aviles was 2-for-3.

Peyton Millirons pitched a complete game to earn the victory in game two. He struck out nine and walked only one in nine innings of work. Farmer was perfect at the plate in this game, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs and a home run. Oraj Anu, Hare and Aviles were each 1-for-3 with an RBI.

The Govs and Sun Chiefs complete their four-game conference series Saturday at Wallace. The doubleheader gets underway at noon.
